After our meeting this morning with the consultants, they were able to erase my skepticism about the fact that maybe its not IT solution that we need. I now understand that the type of errors that we are having are not caused by human mistakes like putting in wrong info etc. Therefore hiring more employees or training them better would not be very effective.
Since most of the errors are as a result of poor communication flow and a complicated process, an IT solution can easily solve this problem.
I was also convinced that the Paas was the best alternative for us because even though it is not as cost effective as we would like, it will be able to grow with our company and comes with the flexibility of having vendor’s support and being user friendly because part of it can be customized to our taste. It doesn't require lengthy time to implement too. Therefore, it meets most of our criteria in making this decision.
